The Ruin is a park on Roosevelt Island in New York City.
Friends of the Ruin's missions:
1. To excite interest in the cultural value of New York City's historic smallpox hospital.
2. To engage the public in dialogue about its potential for adaptive reuse as open space.
3. To raise essential funds to complete a restoration.
In this time period of COVID-19, The Ruin
as a renewed park should bring the city hope and energy.
