When given the opportunity to redesign a series of books, I wanted to take on the challenge of capturing the raw mix of beauty and chaos that Jeannette Walls is able to articulate so incredibly in all of her literary works. The Glass Castle, The Silver Star, and Two Broke Horses all explore the dysfunction of familial relations, adversity, love, and pain. Each book cover works to reflect tainted symbols of hope prevalent in each of the stories by using something broken to create something new. See more of my work on my website.
