The Husband Stitch is a short story that focuses on the coming of age of a woman with a green ribbon around her neck that cannot be removed. Throughout the story we come to understand that this ribbon is a metaphor for the burdens that women bear as well as their role in the lives of others. Focusing on these ideas, this is the cover design that I believe encompasses the story.
