This animation explores my feelings of ambiguity stemming from my identity as an Asian American, particularly through language and incorporating “traditional” Korean elements such as folk songs, food, and shot video accompanied by contemporary/jarring imagery. As the animation continues, there is new dialogue that moves onto questioning who I am as an individual and the weight of self-doubt that comes with responding to that question. The last section ends with a response of reassurance, closing the video in the same fashion it opened with, a black screen.
