Anton Chekhov was a Russian playwright and short story writer who is considered to be one of the greatest writers in the world. His career as a playwright produced four classics: The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, Three Sisters, and The Cherry Orchard. Because play posters of the time were made with wood typefaces, I utilized them to create a series of covers for this project. My design was inspired by this type of woodblock printing.
