The Public Domain Mixtape started as a project analyzing what artworks exist in the public domain. It soon turned into a project creating packaging, songs, and videos only using artwork in the public domain and open-source software. Nearly 50 songs were created but shortened to 25 songs across five tapes. The mixtape comes with a booklet explaining the process.
