The Drawing Center is an exhibition space in downtown Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood—explores the medium of drawing as primary, dynamic, and relevant to contemporary culture, the future of art, and creative thought.
To reflect the drawing-based nature of the exhibition content, I designed a customized typeface. The playful curved strokes of the typeface reflect the traces left by the drawing.
At the same time, the way the artist's work is represented on the poster reflects the uniquely interdisciplinary approach of the drawing center's exhibition content.
