[petridisc is where culture starts. petridisc is a rhizomatic network where experimental artists from the fringes can intermingle, cultivating fertile grounds for creativity.] My mission was to develop a record label that embraces the synergy of the collective whole of its artists rather than their popularity. The name petridisc is a combination of "petri dish + compact disc" to represent how music is a living, breathing ecosystem where artists influence each other like fungi spores. I created a modular system that can be arranged to fit any format from a website to a CD to a T-shirt.
