This game explores communication between two generations within a family — through dialogue, rhythm, and silence. After China’s one-child policy was relaxed in 2013, many people of my generation suddenly have younger siblings. Without any preparation for becoming the “older generation”, this unexpected shift brings a great distance between us. Technology, expression, and even cognition have shifted completely. Sometimes, it feels as we are speaking two different languages in our home. Through this project, I want ask: Do we truly understand our younger siblings? And are we really know how to play the role of a “older generation”?
