When designing the limited release DVD boxed set for the master of suspense, I wanted to create an experience similar to the arc of his films. The three DVDs are contained in a “magic box”, which is rather tricky to open. Inside are three sleeves, not with the name of the movie, but rather a quote from each movie’s critical moment. Finally, by pulling out the DVD holder from the sleeve, the user is confronted by the movie’s antagonist, whichever form that may take.
