Colorless Tsukuru is a novel by the profound Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. It is about a thirty-something year old man who digs up the demons of his past to discover why his friends had abandoned him over a decade ago. Each of his friends had a color associated with their names, so I used a slipcase featuring those colors. Every time the reader removes the slipcase, they are reenacting the moment of the friends' abandonment of Tsukuru, who lacked a colorful name.
