Beat Generation

Beat Generation Beat Generation Beat Generation Beat Generation
The Beat Generation was a group of authors whose literature explored and influenced American culture in the post-World War II era. Jack Kerouac's On The Road, Allen Ginsberg's Howl, and William S. Burroughs' Naked Lunch have become the most famous novels to come out of this literary period for their exploration of classic 'Beat' values: the spiritual quest, drugs, sex, the human condition and the rejection of materialism.
