Ultra-Reality

Ultra-Reality Ultra-Reality Ultra-Reality Ultra-Reality Ultra-Reality
This video follows the essence of appearing as something that it is not. My goal was to create a personified metaphor for someone struggling with mental illness. Sometimes the mind can make someone feel alone and too afraid to confront what is haunting them. Sometimes it just takes someone reaching out to help bring that person back into the light. This style of this video is quite ambitious. Having a large interest in manga and anime, I wanted to directly reference the drawing styles of Junji Ito and Katsuhiro Otomo, and create an animation that feels like a moving manga. All sounds are samples from copyright-free sources and put together to create a new audio-visual experience in a short-film style.
