The starting point of this project is personal, it involves my relationship with my father. The image of my father in my childhood memories has always been absent or violent, so that even now him and I are like strangers with blood relations. I always felt the distance between us was sometimes particularly close and other times distant. Father’s absence also made me subconsciously hope to replace his role through my own independence and strength. As far as I can remember, I have never felt my father’s embrace. This work expresses that the role of a daughter can also complement her father’s power through her own power, that is, when I hug myself, I can also feel like my father is hugging me.
